I am located in Ottawa, Canada. I work from home by appointment only.

August 2025 update:
Waitlist for recapping/overhaul work is closed at least until November. It is growing faster than I can get through stuff and I’m farther behind than I’m comfortable being. Hopefully by then I can figure out how to keep up and what jobs I can do. This page is regularly updated with where I’m at.

Still accepting small jobs like speaker refoaming, some turntables, and very basic amp/receiver cleanings. These jobs are good for filling time while waiting for parts.

I will decline repair requests for gear I don’t have a high success rate with in an effort to keep up with demand.

Currently serving people added to the waitlist in March.

For the foreseeable future recaps/overhauls are the only level of service I will offer on the vintage 1970s amps and receivers. There are a couple reasons for this. First, I have a waitlist of 50+ units to do. Second, this is the level of service this gear ultimately needs to sound how it should and be reliable long term. Partial measures approaches are becoming increasingly tedious. I can spend a couple hours troubleshooting a problem that would be solved with no additional troubleshooting if I was overhauling the unit. This stuff is ~50 years old. If you want reliable service, you want your gear overhauled.

As long as I have a workbench and am able to use it, I will service gear I’ve previously overhauled at any point without waitlisting. I will also always be willing to revisit gear I’ve recently serviced without wait.

**I am no longer servicing tape decks.**

**Please ask before sending pictures, they fill up my inbox and I usually don’t need them. If you tell me the model of your equipment I can easily look it up. **
